My name is Elissa and I am an 18 year old trans girl from Finland. I was born in 2006. My egg cracked in the summer of 2022 and came out to my family a few months later.
I first started using Linux in 2020. I started off by jumping straight into the deep end and installed Arch Linux after not even a week of trying out Ubuntu. Of course knowing pretty much nothing about Linux I had to learn a lot but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a lot of fun. A few years into using Arch as my daily driver I was introduced to NixOS which I got really excited about. Now I dualboot Arch and Nix because I still love Arch and truth be told it is a lot easier than nix.
Somewhere around 2022 I bought my first VPS and ever since then I've been hooked on servers and self hosting. My dream job would be working as a sysadmin, and run my own homelab.
